Obey The Process...
Every morning, GOD and I have our morning business meeting to discuss what’s on HIS heart
—whether tasks for the day or anything concerning me. As I silenced my heart and mind, I
discerned in the atmosphere that He desired for me to obey His process.
As a Spirit-led entrepreneur, it's imperative I keep this truth at the forefront: HE placed this entrepreneurial dream within me. Since GOD planted it, He also holds the strategic plan for it to manifest. Executing my own way of establishing and building this dream will not bear the fruit GOD desires. In fact, it will surely lead to stress and discouragement—as I’ve recently experienced. Daily surrender of my will is non-negotiable.
Yesterday was, by far, my worst day in this early stage of re-embracing the faith walk of entrepreneurship. No revenue was generated, and I was livid. I wanted to quit. Period.
The Bible declares in 1 Peter 5:7:
"Cast all your care upon Him, for He careth for you."
So I did—and I wasn’t nice about it. I let GOD have it. At the core of my frustration, GOD wasn’t providing the answer I wanted, in the way I wanted it.
(Key phrase: I wanted.)
Listen—GOD has a way of humbling His children. And boy, did He humble me.
In the middle of my rant, I discerned the Lord say:
“YOU’RE LOSING FAITH BECAUSE IT’S NOT COMING EASY FOR YOU—AND I’M NOT DOING THAT. GROW.”
Convicted of my ungodly attitude, I repented and began seeking the growth my Father in Heaven desired. I needed to understand His methods when it comes to Spirit-led business decision-making.
Some of you church folk might be saying, “Boy, He leads by the Holy Spirit...duhhhhhh!”
Agreed. But let’s remember: There are seven Spirits that represent the full manifestation of the Holy Spirit (Isaiah 11:2). For this blog post, I want to focus on The Spirit of Counsel.
This particular function of the Holy Spirit provides direction. And when you're just starting out, entrepreneurship can feel extremely daunting—especially financially. Knowing this, obedience to His process becomes even more essential. After God humbled me, He brought back to my remembrance the very direction He had already given me. SMH. I had grabbed the reins, only to be humbled once again. Lastly, let’s not forget:
God’s economy is not the world’s economy.
His economy operates through the Kingdom principle of sowing and reaping.
When I prayed about my financial situation while taking this leap of faith, GOD dropped this into my spirit:
“Give your way out of it.”
This goes deeper than just tithing—it’s about volunteering.

Father, I trust You. Let Thy will be done.
